Set in the distant future, a power struggle erupts among the prisoners of Prestonville - a high-tech slave colony run by an army of robot guards and a sadistic warden who only appears to the inmates as a friendly, holographic dog.
While the residents of Prestonville plot revenge on their mysterious cartoon captor, they still have to prepare for the outside - a world ravaged by floods and scorching temperatures in the aftermath of a global technology breakdown known only as The Cascade.
